What the generator decides on its own, where it stops to ask, and why the timeline is the video.
EggClip turns one brief into a finished faceless video. You pick a category, add an idea if you have one, choose a length, and the generator handles the script, the narrator, the scenes, the captions and the cut. This post is a short map of what happens in between.
It stops twice
The generator does not run start to finish and hand you a file. It pauses at two points, both before anything costs credits:
- The script. Written first, shown before a single image is generated. Edit any line in place, or send it back and the generator writes another pass.
- The storyboard. Scene by scene: the still, the voice line, the caption. Swapping a shot here is free. Swapping it after the render is not.
Credits leave your balance when you clear the second gate. If the render then fails, the job posts its own refund rather than waiting on a support ticket.
The timeline is the video
The preview inside the editor and the file you download come out of the same renderer. That is the reason a finished project opens as a real timeline instead of a locked export: tracks, keyframes, per-card caption styling, a camera track, music and sound effects are all still there, and moving a clip four frames left is an edit rather than a re-render.
You can also swap the narrator from the editor without regenerating any of the visuals, because the voice and the scenes are separate layers of the same document.
Captions land on the syllable
Word timings come out of the voice model itself rather than from a forced alignment pass over finished audio. That is why the highlight sits on the word being spoken instead of near it, and why the caption breaks match the narration rather than the punctuation.
